Athletistic/Tennis. The quarterfinals of the Cincinnati Masters tournament have ended, in which Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaras and Australian athlete Max Purcell met. Alcaraz won, securing a place in the semi-finals of the competition.

The first set ended in favor of Purcell with the score 6:4. However, in the next match, Alcaraz responded with a 6:3 victory. In the third set, Alcaraz again proved its superiority – 6:4.

During the match, Alcaraz completed six consecutive innings, committed eight double faults and converted three of nine break points. Purcell had ten aces, seven double faults and two successful break points out of three.

In the semifinals of the Cincinnati tournament, Alcaras will fight Polish tennis player Hubert Hurkacz, who beat Alexei Popyrin 6:1, 7:6 (10:8).
