Kudermetova won a voluntary victory in this match. She beat her opponent in three sets – 3:6, 6:2, 6:1. The match lasted one hour and 50 minutes.
Thus, the Russian woman reached the second round of the Cleveland tournament. Spaniard Sara Sorribes-Tormo will become her rival.
