Ukrainian beat the first racket of the tournament Arancia Rus
Ukrainian tennis player Katerina Beindl successfully started in the tournament WTA 125 in American Chicago.
The Ukrainian in two sets beat the 44th racket of the world Arancha Rus from the Netherlands, seeded at the tournament under the first number. The fight lasted over two hours.
The first set turned out to be especially stubborn. Rus regularly took the lead, Beindl consistently bounced back six times. The tie-break ended in favor of the Ukrainian – 7:5. The second game was easier for Katerina – 6:3 and the final triumph.
This victory was the first for Beindl over the representative of the top 50 of the world ranking since 2019.
The next opponent of the Ukrainian tennis player will be American Sophie Chang. The meeting will take place tomorrow, August 23, at 18:00 Kyiv time.
