Athletistic/Tennis. Novak Djokovic defeated Carlos Alcaraz in three tough sets in the 2023 Cincinnati Open title match on Sunday (August 20). With his win, Djokovic exacted revenge on Alcaraz, who beat him to win the title at Wimbledon last month.

Perhaps more importantly, however, the 36-year-old has won 95 ATP Tour titles, including 23 Grand Slam titles and 39 ATP Masters 1000 level.

But Djokovic remains behind American legend Jimmy Connors and 20-time TBS winner Roger Federer, who have won 109 and 103 men’s singles titles respectively. The Serb will aim for 100 ATP titles in the next few years, provided he stays on top of his current form.

Djokovic has been incredibly versatile during his illustrious career, winning major tournaments at least three times every year, barring the Monte Carlo Masters. He has dominated the Australian Open 10 times, the French Open three times, Wimbledon seven times and the US Open three times.

Djokovic was even more dominant in the ATP Masters 1000 series, winning eight of nine elite tournaments at least three times. The Serb will now aim to achieve an unprecedented hat-trick at the Monte-Carlo Masters next year. So far, he has won two titles in Monaco.

In addition to these tournaments, Djokovic has won six ATP Finals. He also monopolized lower level competition on the men’s circuit, winning 15 and 12 ATP 500 and ATP 250 titles respectively.

Ivan Lendl, for his part, won 94 titles during his career from 1978 to 1994. He has two more ATP titles than Rafael Nadal, who rounds out the top five men’s singles tennis players with the most professional titles.

Novak Djokovic is behind Roger Federer and Jimmy Connors when it comes to the record for most ATP singles titles. Federer won 103 ATP titles during his career. He may have been the only tennis player to win the men’s circuit in virtually his entire career. Turning professional in 1998, the Swiss won 103 ATP titles in more than two decades of career. Connors tops that list with 109 titles, which is no surprise given his athletic longevity.

Djokovic will fight for his 96th career title and a record 24th Grand Slam title at the US Open in late August.
