Snigur lost in US Open qualification to British Miyazaki

Daria suffered a third consecutive defeat after winning the tournament in Spain in July

Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur lost Yuriko Miyazaki from Great Britain in the first round of qualification US Open.

The fight lasted a little over an hour. In the first set, Snigur led 3-2, but then the opponent took four games in a row. The second party was given to the British even easier. Daria managed to win back two match points with the score 1:5, but in the next game she lost outright on her serve.

After her victory at the tournament in Spanish Vitoria-Gasteiz, Snigur has already lost three fights in a row.

Recall that Katarina Zavatskaya, Yulia Starodubtseva, as well as Alexei Krutykh and Vitaliy Sachko left the qualification of the American Grand Slam tournament earlier. In turn, Dayana Yastremskaya advanced to the semi-finals.

Five Ukrainian tennis players – Elina Svitolina, Angelina Kalinina, Marta Kostyuk, Lesya Tsurenko and Katerina Beindl – will play in the main draw of the US Open 2023.
