Swedish tennis player Mikael Ymer has announced that he has decided to end his professional career.
In July, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) suspended a 24-year-old athlete from competition for 18 months for missing three doping tests. At that time, Ymer was ranked 51st in the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
– Hi guys. I have decided to retire from professional tennis. Thank you all for these incredible memories! I wish all my colleagues success in the competition,” Ymer wrote on the social network.
During his career, Ymer became the winner of an ATP tournament in doubles. The Swede’s best achievement at Grand Slam tournaments is the third round of Australian Open 2021, US Open 2021 and Roland Garros-2023.
