RTF vice-president expressed hope that tennis will return to All-Russian Universiade program

Vice President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) Vladimir Lazarev, speaking to , expressed hope that the sport will return to the program of the All-Russian Summer Universiade.

– We have come to the conclusion that we need to reintegrate tennis into the program of the All-Russian Universiade. We hope that such a tournament will take place next year. This is a reserve for the main national teams, as is the custom in other countries,” Lazarev told All for the Match! on MatchTV.

The program of the VIII All-Russian Summer Universiade, which took place in 2022, included 14 sports: handball, table tennis, swimming, rugby-7, volleyball, wrestling, boxing, orienteering, sambo, badminton , taekwondo WTF, judo, chess. and athletics. Competitions within the framework of the Universiade-2022 were held in Ulyanovsk, Grozny, Astrakhan, Salavat, Stavropol, Essentuki and Cheboksary.
