Kostyuk lost to No. 4 seed Rybakina in the first round of US Open 2023

Marta won only three games in the entire match.

Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk lost to the representative of Kazakhstan Elena Rybakina in the first round US Open 2023.

The fight lasted for almost an hour and a half. For the entire match, Kostyuk won only three games – 2:6, 1:6.

Martha suffered the fourth defeat in a row. The Ukrainian has not won since August 3, when she defeated Caroline Garcia in the 1/8 finals of the tournament in Washington.

Kostyuk became the third Ukrainian to complete her singles performance in the US Open-2023 following the results of today’s game day. Earlier, Katerina Beindl lost to Anna Karolina Shmidlova, and Angelina Kalinina lost to Sarah Sorribes-Tormo.

Two more representatives of Ukraine, Elina Svitolina and Lesya Tsurenko, will play in the first round of the US Open.
