Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev advanced to the second round of the US Open.
In his first game at the tournament, eighth-seeded Rublev beat the Frenchman Arthur Caso with a score of 6:4, 7:6 (7:5), 6:1. The match lasted 2 hours and 32 minutes.
Rublev was originally scheduled to play in the first round against Emil Ruusuvuori but on Tuesday the Finn withdrew from the tournament and Kazo took his place in the main draw as the lucky loser.
In the next round, the Russian will play with the winner of the encounter Gael Monfils (France) — Taro Daniel (Japan).
