Avanesyan was defeated in this match. She lost to her opponent in three sets – 3:6, 7:5, 5:7. The total duration of the match was two hours and 17 minutes.
So, for the Russians, the US Open is over. Ostapenko advanced to the third round. His opponent will be the American Bernard Pera.
