Lesya lost to Russian Ekaterina Aleksandrova
Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko finished in singles US Open 2023.
In the second round match, Tsurenko lost to Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, who competes under a neutral flag. Tennis players spent one hour on the court.
In the first set, Lesya gave her opponent three games on her serve – 1:6. In the second set, the Ukrainian lost with a score of 3:6. Note that for the entire match Tsurenko made 8 double faults.
Tsurenko became the fourth Ukrainian to leave the main draw of the US Open. Earlier, Katerina Beindl lost to Anna Karolina Shmidlova, Angelina Kalinina lost to Sarah Sorribes-Tormo, and Marta Kostyuk was defeated by Elena Rybakina.
