American tennis player John Isner announced his retirement from professional football.
His last tournament was the US Open-2023. Isner announced his decision after losing to Michael Mmo in the second round of the event in singles (6:3, 6:4, 6:7 (3), 4:6, 6:7 (7)).
The 38-year-old American has won 24 ATP tournaments in his career, 16 of them in singles. John also holds the world record for most aces completed.
In February, Isner became the first tennis player to win 500 career tiebreaks at the World Tour level. His best result in the ATP rankings is eighth in July 2018.
