Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev spoke about his victory over Arthur Rinderknecht and his qualification for the 1/8 finals of the US Open.
In the third round of the US Open, the Russian defeated the representative of France in four sets – 3:6, 6:3, 6:1, 7:5.
I have never played with Arthur before. We hadn’t even trained together so I didn’t know what to expect. I just knew he had a great serve and an amazing right hand and he knew how to throw shots, so I knew the match wasn’t going to be easy. I am happy that I was able to turn the tide and win, – quotes Rublev according to Eurosport.
To reach the quarter-finals of the US Open, Rublev will compete with Briton Jack Draper.
