Russian Daniel Medvedev one fan joked after the US Open third round match with Argentina’s Sebastian Baes.
On Sunday, Medvedev (3rd seed) defeated his opponent in three sets with the score 6:2, 6:2, 7:6 (8:6).
– There’s a guy, I don’t know if he has a girlfriend or a wife, and I don’t know how she’s going to be able to sleep tonight, because he’s so excited that he’s going to scream all night: vamos, vamos, vamos, (come on, go – Spanish) I feel sorry for him,” Medvedev said in an on-pitch interview after the match.
Medvedev’s next opponent at the US Open will be Australian Alex De Minor, seeded 13th in the tournament.
