Russian Daniel Medvedev qualified for the final tournament of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for the fifth consecutive time, according to the website of the organization.
This happened after the tennis player beat Australian Alex De Minor in the fourth round of the US Open.
Earlier, Spaniard Carlos Alcaras and Serbian Novak Djokovic received the right to speak at the final ATP tournament.
“It’s just nice to have official confirmation. I can just stay at home and still go to Turin, which is close. It would be a good trip,” joked Medvedev, stressing that he was happy to qualify for the tournament so early with Alcaraz and Djokovic.
In 2020, the Russian became the winner of the final tournament, in 2021 he reached the final. In 2023, the Final Tournament will be held in Turin from November 12 to 19.
