Tennis player Ksenia Efremova, who changed her sports citizenship from Russian to French, said she would play for the France national team in international tournaments to be proud of her.
Earlier, the French flag had appeared in the profile of the 14-year-old athlete on the website of the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
“It’s a special day for me. I want everyone to know that I have just obtained French nationality. In the near future, I will represent France in all tournaments and team competitions. It’s a great honor, and I will do everything to make everyone proud, ”wrote the tennis player on social networks, also posting a photo with a French passport.
Efremova is ranked 146th in the ITF World Junior Rankings.
