Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev noted the game of his compatriot Daniel Medvedev in the quarterfinals of the US Open.
Rublev lost with the score 4:6, 3:6, 4:6.
“Honestly, I don’t know what to say. I think he had an advantage with wins on break points. I couldn’t do the same. Medvedev has proven year after year that he is one of the best players, winning a huge number of titles. I think at some point in the game he served better or just played better, but I did the opposite. I remember several times I failed to win a point when I went to the net. Were very difficult [погодные] conditions,” Rublev told a news conference.
In the semi-finals, Medvedev will face the winner of the match between the Spaniard Carlos Alcaras, world number 1, and the German Alexander Zverev.
