Belarusian tennis player Arina Sobolenko after defeating the American Madison Keys at the US Open, she jokingly announced the end of her cooperation with her coaching staff.
The semi-final lasted 2 hours 35 minutes and ended in favor of Sobolenko with the score 0:6, 7:6 (7:1), 7:6 (10:5). During the match, the Belarusian emotionally communicated with her coaches, using obscene language.
– My reaction to the coaches during the match? They are fired! They are no longer my team, they are responsible for everything (laughs).
No no. We agreed that I should emit emotions on the pitch. Therefore, I screamed and swore, but they know I love them,” Sobolenko said in an on-court interview.
In the final of the tournament, Sobolenko will meet another representative of the United States, Corey Gauff. The final match of the US Open women’s tournament will take place on September 9.
