Climate change protesters interrupted a US Open semi-final match between an American tennis player for almost an hour. Corey Gauff And Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic.
During a game at Arthur Ashe Stadium, which seats 23,000 spectators, three people took to the podium and started shouting slogans about environmental issues. All three wore T-shirts that read “End Fossil Fuels.” Another protester stuck his feet to the ground.
Gauff and Muchova stopped the game for nearly an hour as security arrested protesters. Later they resumed the game, which ended in victory for Gauff with the score 6:4, 7:5.
