Alcaraz’s DIFFICULT DECISION after being eliminated from the US Open

The Spanish tennis player fell in the semifinals against Russian Daniil Medvedev 7-6 (3), 6-1, 6-3 and 6-3.

The tennis player Carlos Alcarazrecently removed from US Open in the semifinalswill not play with Davis cup for Spain next week in Valencia, in the World Group Finals, and his place will be chased by the Catalan Albert Ramos Vinolas.

The Royal Spanish Tennis Federation announced today that Alcaraz will not be part of the team that will compete from September 12 to 17 in the Valencia-based Group C along with Serbia, the Czech Republic and South Korea. The decision of Alcaraz, who will be removed from the first place in the world ranking by Novak Djokovic from next Monday, was announced after falling to the Russian Daniil Medvedev by 7-6 (3), 6-1, 6-3 and 6 – 3 , heading into Sunday’s grand final of the last Grand Slam of the season.

So the Spanish team, where former tennis player David Ferrer will make his debut as captain, will be formed Roberto Bautista Agut, Alexander Davidovich Fokinathe double player Marcel Granollers and the Catalan Ramos.

Ramos, 35, will join the Spanish team’s training camp in Valencia this afternoon after a season in which he was a finalist in Gstaad, where he lost to Argentine Pedro Cachín, and a semi-finalist at the Córdoba Open, while reaching the quarterfinals final at the ATP 500 in Rio de Janeiro.
