In the final, representatives of Finland and Kazakhstan beat the first seeds
Finnish tennis player Harry Heliovaara and representative of Kazakhstan Anna Danilina became champions US Open 2023 in mixed doubles.
In the final, Heliovaara and Danilina defeated the first seeds, Austin Krajicek and Jessica Pegula from the USA, in two sets. Note that this was the first joint tournament for Harry and Anna.
Both Heliovaara and Danilina became Grand Slam winners for the first time in their careers. In 2022, Anna, paired with Beatrice Haddad Maya, lost in the final of the Australian Open.
Let us remind you that American Rajeev Ram and Briton Joe Salisbury became champions of the men’s doubles US Open 2023. Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev will play in the men’s final of the US Open, and Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka in the women’s final.
