Croatian tennis player Marin Cilic will not be taking part in Wimbledon this season.
The ex-third racket in the world Cilic was to play at the start of the tournament with the American Mackenzie McDonald.
— I’m sad to report that I passed the coronavirus test, and it came back positive. I was in confinement and hoped to recover by the start of the tournament, but unfortunately I still feel bad and won’t be able to show my 100%. I am very upset that I miss Wimbledon, that my grass season is ending like this,” Cilich wrote on his social media.
Wimbledon runs from June 27 to July 10. Cilic is currently ranked 17th in the ATP rankings.
