The only time in his career that a Serbian lost a match at the US Open in which he won the first set was in the final of the 2016 tournament. Then, Djokovic won the first set against the Swiss Stan Wawrinka in the tiebreaker with a score of 7:6 (7:1), but lost in the next three sets – 4:6, 5:7, 3:6.

Novak Djokovic is currently in the US Open final against Russian Daniil Medvedev. The Serbian tennis player won the first set of the match with a score of 6:3.
