At the Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open, Russian tennis players earned a total of $14.98 million before taxes. The US Open brought the largest income to Russian athletes – $4.84 million.
Almost a third of the prize money (5.2 million) went to three tennis players – Daniil Medvedev, Andrei Rublev and Karen Khachanov. Among the women, none surpassed the million-dollar mark; Ekaterina Alexandrova got the best result – $819,000.
It is worth noting that 16-year-old Mirra Andreeva entered the top 10 in terms of earnings among Russians at the 2023 Grand Slam tournaments.
