Romanian tennis player Simona Halep is in big trouble and could end her career.

Simona Halep is in big trouble. We remind you that the Romanian tennis player was previously found to have banned substances in his blood and urine.

And now it is known that his actions in the use of prohibited drugs were called intentional and received a long-term suspension from competition.

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) announced on its official website that an independent tribunal has suspended Romanian tennis player Simona Halep for four years for violating the Tennis Anti-Doping Program (TADP).

The two-time Grand Slam champion was charged with two separate violations of the TADP.

The first includes an adverse analytical finding (AAF) for the banned substance roxadustat at the 2022 US Open, determined through regular in-competition urine testing.

The second case is related to Halep’s biological passport violations.

On September 11, the tribunal confirmed that the tennis player had committed a willful anti-doping rule violation under Article 2 of the TADP.

The court accepted Halep’s argument that she had taken a contaminated supplement, but found that the amount she took could not have resulted in the concentration of roxadustat found in the positive sample.

We remind you that Simona Halep has been temporarily suspended from participating in competitions since October 2022. The court counted this towards the disqualification period. Thus, the athlete’s disqualification will last from October 7, 2022 to October 6, 2026.

We remind you that Rafael Nadal has previously announced when he will end his professional career.
