Sad news for Argentine tennis: Guido Pella announced his retirement from tennis. The 33-year-old from Bahia, who just fell in the first round of US Openannounced his decision through a heartfelt message through social networks.
“With a great mix of sensations and a great relief, I can say that I have decided to end my career as a professional tennis player.. It’s been an incredible journey, with many wonderful things that have allowed me to live moments that not everyone gets to and for that I will be forever grateful.”started the winner of an ATP title (San Pablo 2019).
He’s done member of the Argentine team champion of the 2016 Davis Cuphe thanked those closest to him (family, work group, colleagues) and all the people who supported him.
“And as the person I admire the most in life said, ‘all our dreams can become reality, if you have the courage to pursue them.’ I think I’ve done almost everything I wanted to do in tennis. and now it’s time to look for them elsewhere”finished the former Top 20 of the ranking.

Pella was a regular member of the Argentina team that won the legendary Davis Cup for the first time in our history. He did not participate in the final against Croatia (he was part of the squad that traveled to Zagreb) but scored important points in the three previous rounds.
