Ukrainian tennis player Nadezhda Kichenok became the winner of the doubles at the WTA 250 tournament in Japan Osaka.
Nadezhda performed together with German Anna-Lena Friedsam. In the final, the duo beat the pair Anna Kalinskaya / Yulia Putintseva (-, Kazakhstan) in two sets. It took the Ukrainian and the German an hour and a half to win.
The first game ended in a tiebreaker. In the second set, Kichenok and Friedsam won two of their opponents’ serves, losing one of their own, and became the winners of the tournament.
Nadezhda won her first title in 2023. Previously, the Ukrainian lost twice in the finals of tournaments in Linz and Paris.
