It took Alexey a little over an hour to beat the “neutral” Karlovsky
Ukrainian tennis player Alexey Krutykh won the semi-finals of the tournament qualification ATP Challenger 125 in French Saint-Tropez.
The Ukrainian beat Evgeniy Karlovsky, who competes under a neutral flag, in two sets. The fight lasted 1 hour 8 minutes.
The first set was quite easy for Alexey. With the score 3:1 in his favor, the opponent was close to a break three times, but was unable to change the course of the game. In the future, Krutykh left no chance for his opponent.
In the second game, Karlovsky resisted more desperately. The seventh and eighth games were marked by long rallies, but in both cases the representative of Ukraine was stronger.
Let us remember that just a day ago, Krutykh in Georgia beat Colombian Daniel Eli Galan as part of the Davis Cup match between Ukraine and Colombia. Alexey’s two victories allowed our national team to win the final victory 3:2.
In the final qualifying round of the French tournament, Krutykh will compete with local tennis player Mikail Alimli.
