Ukrainian and German Friedsam won their fifth match in a row
Ukrainian Nadezhda Kichenok And Anna-Lena Friedsam from Germany made it to the quarterfinals of the doubles of the WTA 250 tournament in Guangzhou, China.
In the first round, Kichenok and Friedsam defeated France’s Diane Parry and Argentina’s Nadia Podoroska in three sets.
Nadezhda and Anna-Lena lost the first set 1:6, but won the second game with the same crushing score. In the super tiebreak, the Ukrainian and the German left no chance for their rivals – 10:2.
In the next round, Kichenok and Friedsam will meet the winners of the match Sabrina Santamaria / Yana Sizikova – Natela Dzalamidze / Quinn Gleason.
Friedsam and Kichenok won their fifth match in a row. Last week they became the doubles champions of the WTA 250 tournament in Osaka, Japan.
