Ukrainian Nadezhda Kichenok And Anna-Lena Friedsam from Germany made it to the doubles semi-finals of the WTA 250 tournament in Guangzhou, China.
In the quarter finals, Kichenok and Friedsam defeated Sabrina Santamaria from the USA and Yana Sizikova, who did not represent any country, in two sets. The fight lasted an hour and a half.
Kichenok and Friedsam deservedly won the first set with a score of 6:3. In the second, the rivals put up a fight and even took the lead with a score of 7:5. This was their last success – Nadezhda and Anna-Lena, winning three games in a row, won a convincing victory.
In the next round, the Ukrainian-German tandem will face off against the Chinese tandem Hanyu Guo / Xinyu Jiang.
