The duration of the match was 1 hour 51 minutes. During the match, Kotov served twice, did not commit a single double fault and converted three breaks out of eight break points. His opponent had 10 aces, an error on his serve and one break point out of eight possible.

In the second round of the tournament in Chengdu, Pavel Kotov will meet the first Olympic champion Alexander Zverev, representing Germany. Note that the prize pool for the competition in China in 2023 is $1.15 million.
