Athletistic/Tennis. Russian tennis player Pavel Kotov, 24, failed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the ATP-250 tournament in Chengdu (China).

In the second round, Kotov (Q) lost with a score of 6:7 (5:7), 6:4, 1:6 to the 2020 Olympic singles champion, 10th racket in the world, German Alexander Zverev (1 ). The tennis players’ meeting lasted 2 hours 27 minutes.

Kotov served four times, committed five double faults and converted two out of four break points.

For reaching the semi-finals of the Chengdu tournament, Zverev will fight with the 47th racket in the world, the Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic.
