In the qualifying final, Alexey dramatically lost to the Spaniard Barranco
Ukrainian tennis player Alexey Krutykh lost in the final qualifying tournament ATP Challenger 75 in Portuguese Braga to a Spaniard Javier Barranco.
The intense three-set match lasted two and a half hours.
In the first game, Alexey, seeded number two at the tournament, was two plays away from victory at 5:4, but was unable to break his opponent’s serve, and then gave away the set – 5:7. Then the Ukrainian took confident revenge with a score of 6:3.
The fate of the decisive set was determined by the sixth game, which Krutykh lost on his serve. On the second attempt, Barranco converted the match point (6:3) and advanced to the main draw.
