Athletistic/Tennis. Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vitaly Milonov spoke harshly about the decision of Russian tennis player Natela Dzalamidze to change sports citizenship to Georgian.
“We must publish all the expenses of our country for the preparation of this athlete who is not the most successful. She leaves like a thief. The legs and rackets of this professional network should no longer be there. She will grow on the Georgian khachapuri and will play in the” size + “league”, – declared Milonov.
At the end of May, Natela Dzalamidze applied for a change of sports citizenship with the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) in order to represent Georgia at the international level. Thanks to the change of nationality, the tennis player got the opportunity to play in the Wimbledon doubles, in which Russian tennis players were not allowed to participate due to the situation in Ukraine.
On June 30, Dzalamidze, partnered with Serbian tennis player Alexandra Krunic, will play the first round of the doubles tournament at Wimbledon against Anna-Lena Friedsam from Germany and Ann Lee from the United States. The meeting will start at 5:30 p.m. Moscow time.
