Russian tennis player Daria Kasatkina failed to reach the semi-finals of the WTA 500 tournament in Tokyo.
The Russian, seeded sixth, was beaten by American Jessica Pegula (2) with a score of 1:6, 0:6. The meeting lasted 59 minutes.
Pegula will play in the semi-final of the tournament with the winner of the match between the Greek Maria Sakkari (4) and the French Caroline Garcia (5). Russians Veronika Kudermetova (8) and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova will face each other in the second semi-final.
