The Rosario tennis player fell 6-3, 1-6 and 6-2 against the Tunisian who is in the top ten of the world rankings.
Nadia Podoroska was removed from Ningbo WTA 250in China, today lost in the semifinals against the Tunisian top ten Ounce Jabeur by 6-3, 1-6 and 6-2.
Podoroska, born in Rosario and 87th in the WTA world ranking, had a lot of ups and downs and that was taken advantage of by Jabeur, seventh in the world ranking, who secured the victory after one hour and 47 minutes of play.
Jabeur, 29, will play in Saturday’s final against Russian Diana Shnaider (85), who won the other semifinal against Czech Linda Fruhvirtova (117) by 6-4 and 6-1.
The Ningbo WTA 250 tournament is played on a fast surface, will distribute prizes of $259,303 and the big favorite is Jabeur, a finalist at Wimbledon in 2022 and 2023, winner of a WTA title this year and reached number two in the world in June 2022.
