The Ukrainian defeated Yanina Wickmayer from Belgium in two sets
Ukrainian tennis player Katerina Beindl qualified for the main draw of the tournament WTA 1000 V Beijing.
In the qualifying final, Beindl defeated the representative of Belgium, Janina Wickmayer, in two sets. The meeting lasted almost two hours.
In the first game, Katerina managed to make two break points and left the set behind her – 6:3. In the second set, the Belgian, who also represents the top hundred of the WTA rankings and is located 10 positions higher than the Ukrainian, forced a fight, bringing the game to a score of 5:5. In the decisive 12th game, Beindl converted the match point on the third attempt – 7:5.
Let us remind you that Katerina started in the capital of China from the qualifying semi-finals, where she beat Spaniard Rebeca Masarova.
