Russian tennis player Veronica Kudermetova beat the American Jessica Pegula during the last match of the WTA tournament in Tokyo.
The match lasted just under an hour and a half and ended in favor of Kudermetova in straight sets. In the second game, the Russian only allowed one game to her opponent.
For 26-year-old Kudermetova, the title at tournaments under the auspices of the WTA became the second in her career – the athlete had already won the tournament in Charleston in April 2021.
