Double British Wimbledon winner Andy Murray stated that it is difficult for him to make long-term predictions about the continuation of his career due to health problems.
On Wednesday Murray lost to American John Isner in the second round of Wimbledon with a score of 4:6 6:7 (4:7), 7:6 (7:3), 4:6.
“With the issues I’ve had with my body over the past few years, it’s very difficult to make long-term predictions of what I’ll be like even in a few weeks, let alone years.
If physically I am in good condition, then yes, I will continue to play. But it’s not easy to keep your body in optimal condition to compete at the highest level,” Murray Reuters quotes.
Moreover, the 35-year-old tennis player stressed the importance of a place in the world rankings and seeded numbers.
“I could do well here. One of the reasons it’s important to improve your ranking and try to get a seed is that you don’t meet the best players and dangerous guys at the start of tournaments.
Murray is a double Olympic champion, winner of three Grand Slam tournaments, ex-first racket in the world.
