Athletistic/Tennis. Today, October 1, Russian tennis player Veronika Kudermetova became the winner of the tournament in Tokyo, Japan. In the final, the Russian defeated the American representative Jessica Pegula – 7:5, 6:1. Kudermetova commented on her victory.

– Jessica is a great player, she is a real fighter, and I was preparing for the fight. With the score at 5:5 in the first set, I said to myself: “Veronica, you have to fight, you have to do everything in your power. And she did it,” Kudermetova was quoted as saying by the WTA press service.

Thanks to her victory at the Tokyo tournament, Veronika Kudermetova moved from 19th to 16th place in the WTA rankings.
