Rafael Nadal shortlisted for the annual ESPY Sports Excellence in Tennis Award 2022.
The Spaniard became the winner of the Australian Open and the French Open this year, and also won two other titles in the ATP Tour series.
Nadal’s rivals for the award are fellow Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime and Australian Dylan Alcott, who won the Golden Slam in the 2021 calendar year of wheelchair tennis.
Carlos Alcaraz won four titles this season. The Spaniard made history when he entered the top 10 in the world rankings at the age of 19.
