Athletistic/Tennis. Czech tennis player Petra Kvitova (14th place in the WTA rankings) expressed her dissatisfaction with the organization of the WTA-1000 tournament schedule in Beijing (China).

“Finishing your first round match at 1 a.m. then leaving the next day at 5:30 p.m. with a few first round matches still in progress is not an ideal situation. I have always had great respect for the sport and have rarely expressed my opinion publicly. But this time, I feel confident enough to say that we need to find a fairer approach. WTA, please make life easier for your tennis players,” Kvitova shared on social media.

Recall that today, October 2, Kvitova lost to the 22nd racket in the world, Russian tennis player Lyudmila Samsonova, in the second round of the Beijing tournament with a score of 4:6, 5:7. Kvitova spent just over three hours on court that evening, while Samsonova played earlier in the day and won in two hours.

  • Samsonova beat Kvitova and reached the third round of the Beijing tournament
