Ukrainian tennis players played their second round matches in prestigious competitions in a different way.
Marta Kostyuk continued her successful performance at the prestigious WTA 1000 tennis tournament in Beijing. In the second round, the Ukrainian unexpectedly defeated the seventh racket of the world, Ons Jabeur.
The representative of Tunisia managed to stay on the court for only 78 minutes, losing in two sets. This is the second meeting between the tennis players, the Ukrainian evened the score of personal matches.
Note that Kostyuk won 3 of the last 4 matches against representatives of the top ten in the world ranking. Before that there was a 14 game losing streak. Martha’s next rival was the representative of the aggressor country, Lyudmila Samsonova.
