Mirra Andreeva beat Pavlyuchenkova at a tournament in Beijing

Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva confidently beat her compatriot Anastasia Pavliuchenkova in the second round of the WTA tournament in Beijing.

Andreeva, 16, defeated her 32-year-old opponent in straight sets, allowing only three games in total. The match lasted a little over an hour.

Andreeva’s opponent in the third round will be the representative of Kazakhstan, Elena Rybakina, who enters the tournament as the fifth seed.
