The Ukrainian failed to make it to the quarterfinals
Ukrainian tennis player Nadezhda Kichenok failed to make it to the quarterfinals of the doubles tournament WTA 1000 V Beijing.
Nadezhda, paired with Monica Niculescu from Romania, lost to the duet Beatrice Haddad Maia / Veronika Kudermetova in the second round. The meeting lasted one hour and 10 minutes.
Kichenok and Niculescu lost the first game without a chance (0:6). In the second set, the Ukrainian-Romanian tandem managed to take three games, but this was not enough to force the match into a super tiebreak (3:6).
Earlier, Nadezhda’s sister, Lyudmila Kichenok, left the tournament in Beijing, who, paired with Elena Ostapenko, lost at the start of the tournament to the Chinese duo Siu Wang / Yue Yuan.
