The finalist of last year’s draw of the tournament lost to the owner of the wild card Bulter
Czekh Karolina Pliskova lost to the British Kathy Bulter in the second round match Wimbledon.
Tennis players spent two hours on the court. Pliskova, seeded No. 6, won the first set, but the next two games went to Kathy.
This is Bulter’s second victory over Pliskova in June. Last week, Katy beat the Czech in the 1/16 finals of the WTA tournament in Eastbourne.
In the next round of Wimbledorn, Bulter, ranked 118th in the WTA rankings, will play Frenchwoman Armoni Tan, who defeated Serena Williams in the first round.
Recall that Pliskova is a finalist at Wimbledon 2021. The Czech lost to Ashleigh Barty in the final match of last year’s tournament.
