The Spanish tennis player has not been active since May, when he announced his break until the end of the year.
The leading winner of Roland Garros, Rafael Nadal, published a video today on his Instagram account of his training at his academy in Manacor, Mallorca. It was the first time Rafa was seen training since the hip operation he underwent in June which will sideline him until the end of the season.
The 37-year-old has not played an official match since January 18, when she was eliminated in the second round of the Australian Open against American Mackenzie McDonald 6-4, 6-4 and 7-5. The winner of 22 Grand Slam titles announced in May that he would miss the French Open for the first time in 18 years and that 2024 could be the last year of his career.
In the video you can see La Fiera down a hard surface court returning several shots, both backhand and forehand. “I want to finish 2023 playing Davis Cup, if my body allows it and the captain deems it suitable”Nadal announced in May. However, his recovery could sideline him until next year.

When will Nadal be able to play again?
The Mallorca-born, although he aims to compete in the Davis Cup, may delay his return to the courts. Nadal’s aim is to hit the Oceania tour in January next year, which includes the Australian Open from the 14th of that month.
