Previously, five athletes had qualified: Arina Sabalenka (Belarus, 1), Iga Szwiatek (Poland, 2), Cori Gauff (United States, 3), Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan, 5) and Jessica Pegula (United States, 4). In addition to them, the finalists of the competition include Marketa Vondrousova (Czech Republic, 8 years old), Karolina Muchova (Czech Republic, 9 years old) and Ons Jabeur (Tunisia, 7 years old). These eight athletes are expected to compete in Cancun, unless one of them withdraws for health reasons.
Note that in doubles, only three couples are currently known to qualify for the final tournament: Jessica Pegula and Corey Gauff (both from the United States), Storm Hunter (Australia) and Elise Mertens (Belgium), as well as Barbora Krejcikova and Katerzina.
