Ukrainian tennis player Katarina Zavatskaya made it to the finals of the ITF W40 tournament in Lisbon, Portugal.
In the semi-final match, Zavacka, who received the second seed, beat Francis Jorge from Portugal. The fight lasted just over 2 and a half hours.
In the first two sets, the tennis players exchanged victories. The fate of the third game was determined in a tiebreaker – Zavatskaya fought back from 2:5 and won 7:5.
In the final of the tournament in Lisbon, Katarina will play against the representative of Bulgaria Gergana Topalova.
For Zavatskaya, this will be the third final at ITF tournaments in 2023. In April, the Ukrainian lost in the decisive match in Santa Margherita di Pula (Italy), and in June she won the tournament in Brescia.
