Naturalized tennis player Varvara Gracheva was called up to the French team to participate in the final phase of the Billie Jean King Cup, reports the press service of the French Tennis Federation.
Gracheva will represent France for the first time in an international tournament, which will take place from November 7 to 12 in Seville, Spain.
In addition to Gracheva, 23, Caroline Garcia, Alize Cornet, Clara Burel and Kristina Mladenovic were called up to the French team.
The French will face Italy on Wednesday November 8 and Germany on Friday November 10.
The Muscovite has been training in Cannes since 2016 and has lived in France for seven years. Gracheva has won seven titles at International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournaments.
